Paper Cranes in Hiroshima: A Japanese girl who developed cancer following the bombing of Hiroshima began folding 1,000 paper cranes as a wish for good health. She passed before completing the project, but classmates, and now people from around the world have continued her project as a symbolic gesture for world peace.
